The quick version

I’m Amanda, a 27-year-old wannabe writer, book enthu­si­ast, cat lover, and wife with a BA in English Literature; I love sap­phires, teddy bears, hot choco­late and strawberries.

The longer version

Living in limbo, I’m slowly plod­ding my way through life. I’m prone to intro­spec­tion, and plan­ning way too much. I’m great at mak­ing lists, and the mov­ing on to a new list, instead of a project.

I’m try­ing to be happy with who I am. By that I mean, work­ing on the areas in my life which need improvement.

• Do more things for me. Write more. Read more. Take up draw­ing again. Do what makes me happy.
• Keep a jour­nal, it helps.
• Exercise. No more excuses.
• Eat bet­ter, and try new foods.
• Think less, do more. Actually tackle some of the things on those lists.

And this blog is where I plan (ha!)  to chron­i­cle those things.

I’m plain and reserved. I do enjoy laugh­ing, but don’t do it often. As a home­body, I have only a few friends, most of them online. I like tech­nol­ogy and gad­gets, but I’m also really in love with the idyl­lic sim­ple­ness of the past.

About Not Quite Petite

I’ve main­tained a web­site off and on, mostly on, since I was 14. It’s been a long road, but I’ve learned a lot of impor­tant things. In the end, I’m not as pas­sion­ate about it as I used to be. I do love the com­mu­nity of hav­ing a web­site, and so my lat­est evo­lu­tion as a web­mistress is in this small plain site.

The name came about from an exas­per­a­tion with never find­ing pants that fit. Since then I’ve found the petites sec­tion of adult clothes, rather than wear­ing juniors cloth­ing. So the dilema is gone, but the name has stuck.
